Model construction and photography by Joe Fitzjohn.

Constructed in 1916 by the Avonside Engine Company for the Royal Arsenal’s Woolwich complex, The loco is an oil fired 0-4-0 side tank built to 18in Gauge (here modelled on 009) The locomotive served at the complex until 1960, it has then been handed though various preservation groups, first being at Bicton Gardens, and then the Waltham Abbey Royal Gunpowder Mills Museum. Presently the locomotive is on display within the roundhouse at the Statfold Barn Railway.
The Kit comes as a drop on body shell for the Bachmann 0-4-0 Quarry Hunslet chassis and is supplied with various separate parts to represent the locomotive at different stages of its life or to the builders liking. Two Chimneys are provided in the kit, alongside different sand boxes, toolbox and separate buffers and drawgear couplings.
