Weardale Lead Company Snowplough “Little Nut” ~ £10
The Weardale Lead Company operated this small snowplough on its internal network over the years of its operation, the blade of the snowplough survives on display at the Beamish Living Museum and was used to construct a replica of the plough.
The wrought iron plough was fixed to a wooden frame which carried a box that lead spoil was shovelled into for weight and skirted wheels to prevent snow and ice from jamming the wheels up. The kit is a single piece bodyshell and requires couplings and two 6.2mm wheelsets.
