Talyllyn No.5 “Midlander” Rebuilt Condition

A particularly well known example of a Ruston 48DL the Talyllyn Railway’s No.5 Midlander has been an incredibly versatile member of the TR roster since it arrived at the railway from Jee’s Quarries near Hartshill in Warwickshire. Built in 1940 this body shell depicts the locomotive as it was after to its rebuild with Ministry of Supply bodywork during its first major overhaul on the railway and is as it currently appears working on the Talyllyn.

The kit is drop on bodyshell for the Toma Model Works “Super slow drive unit” configured for 6mm dia wheels and 14mm wheelbase.
